Weddings!…the most important day in our lives!…well, definitely for some, but what a wedding means to ALL of us is that it’s a day where some of the most important moments in our lives are captured on camera. Too many times we hear how people have stashed away all those wedding photos for far too long, intending to one day do something special with them.
So much money is spent on capturing those blissful moments of love on your wedding day through those perfectly balanced, perfectly lit and perfectly choreographed photographs, in most cases taken by some of the best photographers in the wedding industry. Unfortunately though, the excitement of this fades away far too soon after the wedding…quite the shame!. You choose your favourite photos, get your lovely album and show it to your family and friends for the first couple of weeks and then it gets stashed away somewhere in the cupboard collecting dust. Soon enough, you get back into the swing of the day-to-day, and before you know it that special day and those wonderfully captured moments of love, are tucked far far away in the memory banks somewhere. Sad but true, right! More often than not, we tend to forget about the importance of surrounding our lives with reminders of life’s wonderful moments of love.
Whilst on the topic of moments of love, we thought we’d share with you some of our favourite works of art – both painting and sculpture – which portray such moments with the wonder that they deserve:
Roy Lichtenstein, KissIII 1962
Gustav Klimt The Kiss, 1907
Auguste Rodin, The Kiss 1889
So, what of all this, then? Well, we reckon that capturing these moments of love in life is one thing but going that extra step with them and using them to inspire great pieces of art for you space is a totally other and unique thing to do. Not only are you keeping these memories alive around you but you are doing so in such a fun and unique way.
In thinking about our up and coming website we have dedicated some designs to Weddings. Here you’ll see just what sentimental, fun or edgy pieces of art these wedding photos can inspire. Below is one of the twelve wedding designs that will be showcased in our new website.
